Here's the blurb for Cheapskates in Love: It’s couples' skating night down at the local rink and Elena Armstrong can’t seem to keep her cocky jock blind date around long enough to knee him in the balls. Sadly, she was too much of a cheapskate to pay for a membership to an online dating site and based everything on Leonard’s personality profile alone. Big mistake.
At the opposite end of the rink, Ben Kessel, another cheapskate on a blind date with Iris, the ice princess, is having a similarly miserable time. Elena, a hater of all things sports-related, inches out into the skating world butt-first and collides with Ben. After sharing their hilarious and horrifying dates-gone-wrong stories, the two disappear and make everything right again on the floor in the players’ dressing room. Almost everything. They forget to exchange numbers. Now these two cheapskates need to make the ultimate sacrifice: pay for a membership to the online dating site so they can track each other down. But is the possibility of love really worth the price of $24.95 per month?
And heeeere's the excerpt:
Her date had taken the term ‘ice breaker’ literally and suggested they go to a couples’ skating night at the local rink. Never having been much of an athlete, she hesitated at the idea, but her friends convinced her of the romantic perks such a date could entail: hand holding, huddling close for warmth, making goo-goo eyes over hot chocolate. They failed to mention the satanic footwear, the subarctic temperatures, and the slippery surface that wasn’t fit for people with poor balance. Or humans in general, as far as she was concerned.
Leonard whizzed by again on his fourteenth lap. If he went for fifteen she was determined to trip him. If she could let go of the railing, that is. With renewed purpose, Elena slowly backed away from the boards.

This week all my 'sprummer' league sports are starting up. I'll be playing sports four nights a week and I can't wait! I'm the most excited to get back onto the soccer field again. And with the World Cup action on the horizon, this promises to be one of the best summers yet! Wishing you all a wonderful week! :)
