Weekend Writing Warriors #25!

Hey, folks! Happy Sunday! Today I'm going wayyyyy back in time to July 28th, 2012, the day I became published for the very first time. Okay, so it's only a year ago, and I still feel as giddy as a schoolgirl whenever I think of that day. Blind Faith is the name of the story that made my dreams come true, which is so very fitting. You gotta have a whole lotta faith in this crazy writing world we live in.

Here's the blurb:

Faith Lawson is just your average, wholesome librarian with a dirty mind…until a chance encounter with a handsome stranger brings her fantasies to life in a frantic night of passion. But when he walks out her door, he leaves a piece of his past behind that changes everything.

And now, an excerpt!

She smiled, admiring the way the snow fell to the ground without pause or prohibition, on display for the world to see. The last thing she wanted to do was ruin this perfect moment, but she wasn’t ready for it to end, either. Not even close.

Fueled by the cold snow and his warm eyes, Faith mustered the courage to invite him in. “Do you like hot chocolate?”

His lips pressed to hers, firm and fervent, and she had all the answer she needed.

They burst through her apartment door. His tongue was in her mouth and his hands were…everywhere.

Weekend Writing Warriors #24!

Hello there, my friends! Happy Sunday to you! On Saturday I ventured to cottage country to spend the weekend with 'the royals', a.k.a my brother and his new wife. I call them the royals because of the way they live and act and so on and so forth. If they haven't kicked me out yet, I should still be there today, lounging on the dock, enjoy the beautiful sunshine while I sip pink lemonade and dream about Prince Harry and how hot he'll be as an uncle.

But while I'm away, here's a present for you! Another eight sentences from my latest completion, Dirty Delivery. Just to remind you of the premise: It's about a CEO of a sex toy company who gets it on with a hot delivery guy who delivers her sexy sex toys to happy customers everywhere. :D Ready? Let's go!

“What do you want to do with a guy like me?”
“Oh, honey, I could write a list a mile long.”
A ghost of a smile twitched his lips. “I just meant…I mean…I don’t wanna lose my job over this.”

The fact that he was considering her offer sent a spark of pleasure straight between her thighs. “Don’t you want a little something more than driving a truck?” When his eyebrows arched, she continued undeterred, “Listen, the way I see it, there’s only two of us out here. And good ol’ Jerry’s willing to pay you for overtime anyway. I say we rack up a little overtime, baby, and see if we can put a dent in that list of mine.”

Weekend Writing Warriors #23!

Good morning, good morrrrrning! :D How's everyone doing today? This is the first Sunday in a while that I don't have any plans. I don't have anywhere to rush off to. I can just chillax at home and visit all the other fabulous writers who contribute to the triple W every week. As it turns out, I just finished a brand spankin' new story called Dirty Delivery. *eyebrow raise, eyebrow raise* It's about a CEO of a sex toy company who gets it on with a hot delivery guy who delivers her sexy sex toys to happy customers everywhere. And after that unforgettable introduction, here's a sample!

“I want you.” She closed the distance between them and pressed a possessive hand to his chest. “You’re a hot delivery guy who delivers my sexy sex toys, and I want you.”
“Jesus,” he rasped.
“I don’t know what it is about you, but you’re driving me crazy,” she whispered against the whiskered skin of his throat. He swallowed hard. “You’re all muscular and manly, but you have this sweet, unassuming quality about you too.” Her lips feathered over his pulse. The hum of pleasure she pulled from him made her beam in satisfaction.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to say hello to all the other Weekend Writing Warriors! :)

Weekend Writing Warriors #22!

Hi there, everyone! Welcome to the party! Today I'm on my way to my first family reunion of the summer. I'm taking a box of books with me because what am I if not a shameless self-promoter? Actually, my great aunt, of all people, requested that I bring some of my 'steamy' books with me. As long as the fam-jam doesn't expect me to do a reading, I'm totally fine with it. Go ahead and buy my books, just keep the dirty stuff to yourself. ;)

Last week I shared a smexy excerpt from my hockey story, Body Check. This week I'm gonna rewind a bit to fill in some of the blanks. But before that, here's the blurb!

Alicia Holden is the ultimate hockey fan. She eats, sleeps, and breathes the game, but there's one real reason for her devotion. And his name is Mike Converset. When an opportunity comes along to win a charity dinner with her hockey heartthrob, she leaps at the chance.

He's absolutely nothing like she imagined. Rough, tough, and in no mood to impress, Mike assumes Alicia's like every other woman who's come into his life, but he soon learns she's so much more. They share a connection that brings them closer together in mind and body. But is their romantic encounter simply a one-night stand, or can they take their passion into overtime?

And here's the excerpt!

“It wasn’t just the lure of dinner with you that brought me here tonight, Mike. I felt a connection to you, that you would choose this particular charity over all others. I had no idea about your brother, but I understand what you’re going through.”
His expression softened. His shoulders relaxed. A whoosh of breath passed through his lips.
“I know what it’s like to love a kid with autism,” she continued when it was clear he was giving her the floor. “There’s nothing in the world that you won’t do to protect them.”

That should hopefully answer some questions as to the 'connection' they share. Next week I'm gonna switch things up again so stay tuned! Thanks for coming out, and be sure to visit the other Weekend Writing Warriors
